About me
I am a Professor of Linguistics at the Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, and Theory of Science unit at FLoV, University of Gothenburg and Research Fellow at King’s College London. From this perspective, my collaborators and I currently investigate how advancements in AI and NLP are reshaping our understanding of the nature of language and cognition. Our work extends beyond verbal exchanges to encompass multimodal perception and action, recognising that linguistic communication is deeply embedded in sensory and interactive processes. I am particularly interested in foundational theories of information that bridge technology, biology, and physics, seeking to uncover common principles that govern the exchange of signals across different domains. Our interdisciplinary approach aims to contribute to both theoretical frameworks and practical applications, advancing our knowledge of how meaning emerges in human-human, human-machine, and machine-mediated interactions.
